Today is Monday, May 19th. My 24th birthday isn't officially happening for another three days. But already, I've started to celebrate. I found out a few weeks in advance that Angels & Kings was having a Prom-themed night! My dream come true! I'd been planning a similar theme (I was aiming for 80's prom myself) for my own birthday party, so now it just seemed I no longer had to. Man, I was stoked. I got all dressed up, loaded up on carbs (so that I may drink and not make an ass of myself), and started on adventure number one:
Get My Underaged Friend A Fake ID. It seemed like it'd be so easy. All I know is, the climax of said adventure involved us treking down long, dark Brooklyn streets, barefoot, searching for landmarks (Like Nathan's Hot Dogs) so that we could find our destination. It was insanity. We didn't even get to Angels & Kings until almost 1 am. However, once we got there we caught up very quickly - a shot and a few drinks, many sweaty dances, and lots of hot guys. Oh yeah, and, The Academy Is... was there. Also, as I learned much, much later - so was Jason Siska, Adam's brother. The dude who was on Survivor. Well, you learn something new everyday. Even while drunk. Good times!
