I brought you my bullets, you brought me your...

So let's see. I left off right after Bamboozle?

+ MTV has me as one of their casted "fans" and I am currently spending the summer recording random opinions on random music videos for them. The first was for Fall Out Boy's Beat It cover. It was amusing.

+ I have currently gone to two auditions for a new show Fuse is doing called She Will Rock You. It's basically the catty female rock star version of American Idol. They like me. Hopefully, I get a callback this week.

+ Callbacks mean I get to go to LA for 6 or 8 weeks.

- Dont know what that means for Lola yet.

- Got written up at work for calling out of work too much. Ooooops.

- I hate my job with a deep black kind of passion.

+ On a whim, I decided to travel to Asbury Park, NJ for a show at Asbury Lanes. A Bowling Alley. Playing were three acts: Anna Copa Cabanna who put on some sort of wacky variety show that was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. Tragedy, a heavy metal BeeGees tribute band. And The Love Cats, "a star studded The Cure cover band featuring members: Frank Iero (MCR), Pete Steinkop and Michael McDermot (Bouncing Souls), DJ Values (Let It Burn/Bouncing Souls), Andrew Everding (Thursday) and Matt Scara (Pitch Black Blonde)"

The evening went a little something like this:
Crystal: sorry i was in my father's room telling him about my ridiculous night
Damon: ha k
Damon: bad ridiculous or good?
Crystal: good
Crystal: it started really questionable
Crystal: but it ended amazingly haha!
Crystal: we drove to asbury park
Crystal: in nj
Crystal: and had to go to asbury lanes
Crystal: and i swear to god it's a bowling alley in a barren wasteland at the edge of the earth.
Crystal: we were so creeped out by the neighborhood
Crystal: and once we got inside it was like the most awkward time warp ever. i think that asbury lanes is like the happening spot in that neighborhood. it has a bar and everything. and a disco ball. and mid-life-crisis show-goers.
Crystal: in tight shorts and tank tops with feathered hair and earrings.
Crystal: and those were the guys.
Damon: oh man...
Crystal: but then the show started, with this like two hour variety show from this chick called anna copa cobanna
Crystal: and it was ridiculously hysterical and involved songs about how shitty NYC can be, lots of spandex, interpretive dancing to Jane's Addiction songs...and she played enter sandman on a xylaphone. i was in love with her
Crystal: and then a midlife crisis heavy metal beegees tribute band called tragedy who wore spandez and glitter and had scarves on their microphones and THEY WERE SO GOOD.
Crystal: and then the love cats which is who we went for, which was frank iero, a few guys from the bouncing souls and a guy from thursday, and they did a The Cure coverband and we were all so skeptical about it
Crystal: but when they started we were so impressed.
Damon: ha
Damon: man does sound like a wild night
Crystal: it was ridiculous
+ We (myself and the girls I went with) have nicknamed ourselves The Lust Kittens and will be doing this again in NYC two weeks from now.
